MEP Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Job duties include creating design drawings, performing calculations, coordinating with other professionals, overseeing installation on-site, and ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Design and planning:

  Create detailed designs for electrical, mechanical (HVAC), and plumbing systems, including power, lighting, ventilation, and water supply.

• Project management:

  Develop project schedules and budgets, manage resources, and oversee the entire MEP scope from design to completion.

• System analysis:

  Perform energy efficiency calculations, load analysis, and feasibility studies to ensure systems are efficient and meet project requirements.

• Coordination:

  Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and other contractors to integrate MEP systems with the overall building design.

• Compliance and quality control:

  Ensure all designs and installations comply with relevant building codes, safety standards, and regulations.

• Site supervision:

  Conduct site visits and inspections to oversee the installation process, troubleshoot issues, and verify that work is done according to specifications.

• Documentation:

  Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and technical documentation, as well as review submittals from contractors.

• System maintenance and troubleshooting:

  Address and resolve any issues that arise with the MEP systems during and after installation.
