Job Title: MEP Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Job Summary The MEP Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordination, and execution of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works for villa and residential projects. This role involves ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and high-quality implementation of all MEP systems — including electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and allied services — in coordination with the design, civil, and architectural teams. Key Responsibilities 1. Design and Planning Review and interpret MEP drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications. Verify electrical load distribution, and plumbing layouts. Ensure all MEP designs meet statutory regulations, energy efficiency standards, and project requirements. Provide value engineering inputs to optimize system performance and cost. 2. Coordination Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and interior teams to ensure MEP integration without design conflicts. Conduct technical discussions with consultants, vendors, and subcontractors. Monitor project schedules and align MEP work progress with civil and finishing stages. 3. Execution and Supervision Supervise site execution of MEP works — installation of conduits, wiring, panels, piping, sanitary fixtures, etc. Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with approved drawings and standards. Manage testing, commissioning, and final handover of all MEP systems. Maintain daily work reports, progress tracking, and issue resolution logs. 4. Quality, Safety, and Documentation Implement quality control procedures and ensure adherence to safety practices. Conduct inspection checklists for electrical and plumbing installations. Maintain records of testing, commissioning, and as-built documentation. 5. Procurement and Vendor Coordination Review material submittals and approve samples as per specifications. Coordinate with procurement for timely supply of MEP materials and equipment. Evaluate vendor performance and ensure installation quality. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. 5 to 8 years of experience in MEP execution for villa, residential, or mixed-use projects. Knowledge of relevant codes (NBC, IS, IEC) and building services standards. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar drafting tools preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and team coordination skills.
