Job Description

MEP Engineer

Role & responsibilities:

Oversee mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design and execution activities for the university campus expansion and new upcoming universities.
Review and coordinate MEP drawings, specifications, and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Liaise with consultants & execution team to resolve technical issues and ensure quality installation.
Monitor MEP works progress and ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure standards are met.
Provide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Preparing cost estimates for electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, heating and ventilation systems.
Inspecting, analysing and finding solutions for engineering issues related to the MEP features.
Undertaking off-site inspections of MEP equipment and materials to ensure compliance with regulations and project suitability.
Choose appropriate HVAC equipment, such as air handling units, chillers, and boilers, based on project specifications and performance needs

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
Minimum 7-12 years of experience in MEP design, execution, and project management or high rise building.
Good knowledge of services standards (e.g., HVAC, Fire Safety, Plumbing).
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
