MEP Engineer - HVAC, Fire & Plumbing

About the Role We are looking for an experienced MEP Engineer with strong expertise in HVAC, Fire Protection and Plumbing systems to manage and oversee all MEP aspects of KR Mangalam Groups schools, universities and associated infrastructure projects. The role will ensure timely, quality and cost-effective execution of MEP services across all our campuses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Planning:

1. Prepare and review MEP (Mechanical, HVAC, Fire, Plumbing) designs,

drawings and BOQs as per project requirements

2. Coordinate with architects, structural and electrical teams to integrate services seamlessly.

3. Ensure compliance with national and international codes/standards (ASHRAE, NBC, NFPA, IS

Codes etc.).

• Execution & Supervision:

1. Oversee installation, testing and commissioning of HVAC systems,

fire fighting systems and plumbing networks at various KR Mangalam Group properties.

2. Review contractors submittals, shop drawings and method statements. 3. Conduct site

inspections to ensure quality, safety and adherence to project timelines.

• Coordination & Vendor Management:

1. Liaise with consultants, contractors, suppliers and

internal project teams to ensure smooth progress.

2. Evaluate and recommend vendors/subcontractors for MEP works.

• Cost & Quality Control

  :

1. Monitor project budgets, control costs and ensure

quality workmanship.

2. Provide technical inputs during procurement and tendering.

• Maintenance & Upgrades:

1. Develop maintenance plans for existing facilities HVAC, Fire &

Plumbing systems.

2. Recommend improvements/upgrades to increase efficiency and sustainability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

1. B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

2. 7 to 8 years of experience in MEP services with focus on HVAC, Fire Fighting & Plumbing for

institutional or large building projects.

3. Strong knowledge of relevant standards and codes (NBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, IS codes).

4. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office and MEP design tools.

5. Excellent coordination and vendor management skills.

6. Ability to handle multiple projects across locations.
