MEP Draftsman

The MEP Draftsman role involves creating detailed technical drawings and layouts for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that designs meet project specifications, adhere to industry standards, and fulfill client requirements. Collaboration with project teams is essential to deliver high-quality outputs. To qualify for this position, you should have a Diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification. Ideally, you should possess at least 2 years of experience in MEP drafting, preferably in the construction or consultancy field. In terms of technical skills, proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar CAD tools is necessary. A solid understanding of MEP systems and building design standards is also required. Familiarity with BIM modeling tools would be advantageous. Soft skills are equally important for this role. Strong communication and teamwork abilities are essential. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, as well as effective time management to meet deadlines are key attributes for success in this position.
