Menswear Designer

Role & responsibilities

1. Seasonal concepts development rooted in the brand philosophy

2. Research seasonal trends, product ideas, colors, prints, fabrics, and styling

3. Collection Design development: Sketches/Illustrations/Graphics

4. Creating line sheet based on seasonal concepts and with appropriate design /color/prints

5. Maintaining line sheets for seasonal range plans/range plans aligned with assortment planning and buying requirements

6. Responsible for creating detailed tech packs that illustrate design and construction details with high accuracy

7. Collaborating with Buying and PD teams for effective design development

8. Fit standardization for the brand across category

9. Fabric/print/surface design follow up and approvals

10. Execute timely on seasonal calendar deadlines

11. Maintain and improve product quality by taking corrective step at ground level i.e. fabric, fit, wash, workmanship.

12. Contributing well researched ideas to support catalogue

Preferred candidate profile

1. Good Interdepartmental co-ordination & direction to sub-ordinates

2. In-depth knowledge of fabric and garment construction.

3. Proficiency in computer-aided fashion design applications and digital visualization tools

Superior knowledge of fashion design principles along with colour interplay for textile
