Menswear Designer

As a Menswear Couture Designer in Gurgaon (Gurugram), Haryana, you will be responsible for leading design innovations and bringing on-brand visions to life. You will work closely with artisans, pattern makers, and production teams to deliver luxury menswear pieces that meet the highest standards of couture. - Conceive, sketch, and develop seasonal couture menswear designs such as bandhgalas, sherwanis, tuxedos, formal ensembles, and bespoke pieces. - Create mood boards, seasonal themes, conduct trend research, color studies, and source fabrics & trims. - Produce detailed technical specs and tech-packs, oversee pattern development, toiles, draping, and fittings. - Ensure robust garment construction, finish, and detailing with precision, including embroidery, embellishments, and handwork. - Coordinate with artisan and hand-craft teams to translate design intent into beautifully finished couture garments. - Work closely with production to ensure quality, fit, timelines, and cost parameters are met. - Maintain consistency with brand identity and style across all designs. - Present designs internally to the creative and leadership teams, and adapt based on feedback while retaining the vision. Qualifications & Skills: - Bachelors degree or higher in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or related discipline. - 3-8 years (or more) experience in menswear design, ideally in couture or bespoke tailoring. - Strong portfolio showcasing couture or high-end menswear work, emphasizing garment construction, finishing, and detailing. - Proficiency in sketching by hand, digital illustration (Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop), and creating tech-packs. - Deep knowledge of fabrics, linings, trims, drapes, and traditional handwork and embroidery techniques. - Fit & proportion skills, pattern-making, draping, or ability to direct those who do. - Ability to manage multiple projects, work under tight deadlines, maintain high quality, and adapt.
