Mens Apparel Merchandiser & Designer

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Merchandiser & Designer specialized in Mens Wear Bottoms, with a keen understanding of market trends, fabric sourcing, product development, and design aesthetics. The ideal candidate should possess 4 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the textile or fashion design industry. As a Merchandiser & Designer for Mens Wear Bottoms, your key responsibilities will include developing new designs and collections that align with current fashion trends and seasonal demands. You will be responsible for collaborating with buyers and vendors on product development, pricing, and sampling. Managing end-to-end merchandising operations from concept to shipment will also be part of your role. Additionally, you will be tasked with sourcing fabrics, trims, and materials specific to mens bottoms such as jeans, chinos, joggers, and shorts. Preparation of tech packs, CADs, and design sheets for product development, as well as ensuring quality and timely delivery by working closely with the production team, will be crucial. Furthermore, conducting market research and competitor analysis to stay abreast of trends and managing communication between internal teams and external stakeholders (vendors/suppliers) are essential components of this role. The ideal candidate should have 4 to 5 years of experience in merchandising and design, particularly focusing on mens wear bottoms. A degree in Textile/Fashion Design is preferred. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, etc., is required. Strong knowledge of fabric types, washes, fits, and finishes for mens bottoms is essential. Excellent communication and coordination skills, along with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, are highly valued. Preferred qualifications include a Graduate degree in Textile or Fashion Design from a recognized institute and prior experience working with domestic and/or international buyers.
