During the rounds, the current status of the patient should be noted on the progress Sheet and the treatment chart should be reviewed after discussing with the concerned Registrar / Consultant. Clear instructions should be given to the Nursing Staff regarding investigations and plan of treatment. 5. All investigation reports must be entered in the investigation chart as and when they are received and the reports should be communicated to the Consultant / Registrar. 6. After the visit of the Consultant, his / her findings and instructions are to be entered in the Case Sheet and Nurse Incharge should be briefed accordingly and appropriate action taken regarding Consultant’s order. 7. All Residents before leaving the Hospital should hand over all the patients to the next Resident on duty and brief on investigation required, change of line of treatment and any special instructions. 8. It is mandatory that the Resident on night duty attends to each call personally and documents the status of the patient and the treatment instituted. 9. The Resident on night duty shall inform the Nursing Station / Casualty / Reception of his / her whereabouts in the Hospital. 10. It is unethical to prescribe any drug or treatment on phone without examining the patient. This should be avoided. 11. Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory tests, preparing samples, maintaining equipment, and supporting accurate and timely diagnostics. The technician will work closely with medical or research staff and must follow strict safety and quality guidelines. Key Responsibilities: Collect, label, and process biological samples such as blood, urine, stool, or tissue. Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests as per standard procedures. Prepare slides, chemical solutions, and culture media as required. Record and analyze data, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results. Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment regularly. Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety of the laboratory at all times. Assist in maintaining lab inventory and ordering necessary supplies. Properly dispose of biohazardous waste according to safety guidelines. Document test results in logs or laboratory information systems (LIS). Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control protocols. Assist Lab Incharge or medical staff as required. Qualifications: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/BMLT) or related field. Minimum [2-3] years of experience in a laboratory environment Knowledge of laboratory instruments, procedures, and safety regulations. Basic understanding of medical terminology and infection control. Familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) is a plus. Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Preferred Skills: Experience in pathology or diagnostic lab settings. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
