Medical Records Officer

As a Record Management Specialist, your role involves organizing, storing, and retrieving patient records, both physical and electronic. You will be responsible for accurately entering and updating patient information into electronic health record systems (EHRs) with a strong emphasis on data entry accuracy. Key Responsibilities: - Ensuring compliance with medical record regulations and privacy policies, including HIPAA guidelines - Analyzing medical data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement in patient care - Facilitating the release of medical records to authorized individuals and organizations - Participating in audits and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the accuracy and completeness of medical records - Providing training and professional development opportunities for staff - In some roles, overseeing and managing a team of medical records clerks or technicians Qualifications Required: - Prior experience in record management or related field preferred - Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EHRs) and data analysis tools - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry - Knowledge of medical record regulations and privacy policies, including HIPAA compliance The company offers benefits including health insurance and Provident Fund.
