Medical Officer

We are seeking a qualified and experienced MBBS Doctor to manage the Occupational Health Centre at our Steel Industry. The role involves providing medical care to employees, handling workplace health & safety requirements, conducting periodic health check-ups, and supporting emergency medical situations inside the plant premises.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide primary medical care, diagnosis, and treatment to employees and Workers.

Attend medical emergencies, accidents, and injury cases occurring within the plant Or outside the plant.

Maintain occupational health records and conduct periodic health check-ups as per statutory requirements (Factories Act & other compliance norms).

Monitor workplace health risks such as dust, noise, heat exposure, and chemical hazards.

Ensure compliance with factory act and statutory bodies when required.

Conduct awareness programs on health, hygiene, first aid, and occupational safety.

Maintain medical inventory (medicines, equipment, first aid kits) and ensure proper upkeep of the Occupational Health Centre.

Liaise with nearby hospitals/ambulance services for referral cases.

Support HR & Safety team in health-related policies, wellness programs, and employee welfare initiatives.

Qualification & Experience:

MBBS degree (must be registered with MCI/State Medical Council).

3 - 5 years of experience in industrial/occupational health setup preferred

Certification/Diploma in Industrial Health (AFIH) will be an added advantage.

Basic knowledge of occupational health hazards in steel/metal industries desirable.

Good communication & interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage medical center independently.

Familiarity with occupational health standards & compliance.
