Medical Laboratory Technician

As a Medical Laboratory Technician at Micro Genomics India (Pvt) Ltd., located in Chennai, your role will involve preparing and analyzing samples, conducting laboratory tests for accurate disease diagnosis, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring safety procedures are followed diligently. Key Responsibilities: - Isolation of DNA from clinical samples - Performing PCR, GEL electrophoresis, and DNA sequencing - Extensive micro pipetting and measuring - Preparation of solutions and reagents following standard laboratory protocols - Monitoring inventory levels as per established policies - Adhering to laboratory procedures, safety, and sanitization protocols - Maintaining QC related documents and test logs - Ensuring confidentiality in all laboratory operations Experience: - Minimum 2 years of experience in handling infectious samples in a molecular diagnostic laboratory (NGS experience is essential) Qualifications: - B Tech / M Tech in Biotechnology or Genetic Engineering - BSc / MSc in Biotechnology or Genetic Engineering - BSc / MSc in Molecular Biology Skills: - Ability to work effectively in a team - Excellent communication skills in English - Good presentation skills - Basic computer skills (Internet, Email, office package) If you are ready to work on rotational shifts, including night shifts, possess NGS experience, and can start immediately, we encourage you to send your CV to hr@medisequence.com for scheduling an interview.
