This is a full-time on-site role for a Medical Laboratory Technician located in Chennai. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing samples, conducting laboratory tests to diagnose various diseases accurately, maintaining laboratory equipment, and following safety procedures. You should have basic knowledge and experience in common Molecular Biology techniques such as the isolation of DNA from clinical samples, performing PCR, GEL electrophoresis, DNA sequencing, extensive Micro pippetting & measuring, preparation of solutions and reagents following standard laboratory formulas and procedures, monitoring inventory levels in accordance with established policies and procedures, knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety, sanitization procedures, responsibility to maintain QC related documents, maintaining test logs within the laboratory, and maintaining confidentiality. Experience in handling infectious samples in a molecular diagnostic laboratory is required for this role. Qualifications required for this position include B Tech, M Tech, M Sc. in Biotechnology & Genetic Engineering, or M Sc. in Molecular Biology. Skills needed for this role include being a team player, excellent communication skills, good knowledge in writing and speaking English, presentation skills, and general computer skills (Internet, Email, office package). This is a permanent job type with a rotational shift schedule and weekend availability. Applicants must be willing to work in rotational shifts, 6 days a week, and night shifts.
