As a Duty Doctor, you will play a crucial role in providing immediate medical care and attention to patients across various shifts. Collaboration: Coordinate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patient encounters, treatment plans, and progress notes. Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive healthcare measures. Adherence to Protocols: Adhere to medical protocols, guidelines, and standards of care to ensure patient safety and quality of care. Continuous Learning: Stay updated with medical advancements, participate in training programs, and maintain licensure and certifications. Skills and Qualifications: Medical degree from an accredited institution. Valid medical license and registration with the medical board. Proven experience as a physician or in a similar role, preferably in emergency or urgent care settings. Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively. Compassionate and empathetic approach towards patients. Commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical medical practice. Working Conditions: Rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Fast-paced environment with varying levels of patient acuity and workload. Exposure to infectious diseases and hazardous materials may occur. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift/move patients when necessary.
