MEDICAL DOCTOR for Mobile Medical Unit

The Medical Doctor will be responsible for providing preventive, promotive health care services through MHV in the assigned villages. S/he will accompany the Mobile Health Van and will be responsible for providing medical services to the community with a special focus on General health checkups.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

·      Screen the patients to identify the risk factors and facilitate linkage with services of Government facilities.

·      S/he will conduct field-level communication, provide health education and counselling, and ensure community participation during MHV field visits.

·      Deliver standard care, perform an examination of Pregnant and Lactating Women, and NCDs, CDs, MCH, Etc. during the MHV Visit, and identify high-risk pregnancies.

·      Dispense All medicines for primary care and provide health education using prescribed IEC materials during MHV visits.

·      Provide treatment, follow-up, and counselling as per government protocol.

·      Maintain patient records and complete all necessary documentation before referring a patient.

·      Ensure the entry of beneficiaries into the MIS System.

·      Liaise with Government stakeholders as required.

·      Support the tele-counselling for any special treatments or consultations.

·      Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the MHV, including route planning and regular reporting activities to the Line Manager.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

MBBS

·       Minimum 2- 3 years of hospital/ clinical/public health experience.

·       Experience in working with NGOs or Mobile Medical/Health Units in rural geographical areas will be preferred

·       Responsive, proactive, and dedicated to patients.

·       Strong interpersonal, documentation, and counselling skills.

·       Proficient in working under pressure, with a proactive and patient-centric approach.
