Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Medical Coding Analyst located in Kakori. The Medical Coding Analyst will be responsible for accurately coding inpatient and outpatient records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines. Daily tasks include reviewing medical records, coding diagnoses and procedures, and ensuring compliance with established guidelines and regulations. The role also involves coordinating with healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Medical Coding and Medical Terminology
  • Experience with coding software and health information systems
  • Health Information Management and RHIT certification
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in an on-site environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or related field is preferred
  • Certification from AAPC or AHIMA is a plus
