Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Medical Administrator to oversee the administrative and operational aspects of our medical facility. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth functioning of clinical and non-clinical departments, supervising staff, maintaining compliance, managing schedules, and improving overall efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day administrative operations of the hospital/clinic
  • Coordinate with doctors, nursing, ancillary and support staff to ensure timely patient care
  • Oversee scheduling of appointments, admissions, discharges, OT lists, and other patient-facing processes
  • Maintain medical records, documentation, & compliance with relevant regulations and accreditation standards
  • Monitor inventory of medical supplies/medicines; ensure timely procurement and stock maintenance
  • Handle staff attendance, shift allocations, and leave management
  • Liaise with various departments like CSSD, Pathology, Diagnostics, etc., to ensure operational efficiency
  • Serve as a point of contact for patient grievances and feedback, ensure resolution
  • Assist in budget planning and financial tracking for administrative expenses
  • Implement and monitor policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to meet quality and safety standards

    Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate (PG):

    Masters in Hospital Administration (MHA) or related health-care management qualification
  • Graduation:

    MBBS, BDS, or BHMS degree from a recognized institution
  • Valid registration/licensing (if applicable in your region)

Experience:

  • Minimum

    3 to 6 years

    of relevant experience in hospital/clinical administrative roles
  • Prior exposure to managing clinical departments, staff supervision, and accreditation processes is preferred

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking skills
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, accreditation (e.g., NABH / ISO etc.)
  • Technical proficiency (hospital information systems, MS Office, record keeping)
  • Problem-solving attitude and ability to adapt to changing situations
