Media Performance Manager (Programmatic)
Purpose: To develop mastery of programmatic planning and campaign execution
Role Description:
Responsible for contributing to programmatic planning and campaign execution for assigned accounts. This role is both strategic and tactical in scope, requiring the planner to contribute to programmatic media recommendations and independently building campaigns in DSPs, identifying performance trends & insights, and providing actionable optimizations. Planner will assist Supervisor with training programmatic coordinators on trafficking, campaign set-up & DSP implementation, pre/post launch QA, reporting and finance
Milestones:
Completed several DSP campaign builds from start to finish (i.e. creative/tag upload, audience builds, campaign/IOs/lines)
Has completed on-going campaign performance reporting and generated actionable insights and optimizations
Has shown the ability to analyze data and capture relevant insights in a meaningful way (i.e. good story-telling capabilities)
Demonstrated ability to effectively worked with DSPs, publishers, SSP partners, etc. to troubleshoot any delivery issue.
Has developed a good working knowledge of programmatic planning, buying and ad tech vendors
Has demonstrated emerging relationship skills (excellent communication and writing skills)
Maintains DSP certifications and Marcel Programmatic Activation courses (Programmatic Industry Essentials, Functional Expertise)
Contributes to larger internal knowledge sharing (i.e. internal media newsletter, internal team meetings)
Strong time management skills (i.e. ability to manage own workload
Profit
Creates programmatic demand by adding value to each team and project you touch
Completes month-end billing in partnership with media team leads
Understands benefits of Groupe solutions and deals (i.e. preferred SSPs, PMX PMP deals)
Negotiates directly with publishers
Product
Knows the campaign objectives: understands the in's and out's of a media ask, ask questions to better understand the details behind an upcoming media campaign
Emerging expertise across Prisma: executes placements, maintains quality control on placements, handles back-end billing
Emerging expertise across DSPs: can build a campaign from start to finish with minimal direction Identifies performance trends and actionable insights/optimizations
Contributes to tactical programmatic media recommendations with direction from Supervisors
Leverages industry news and internal tools to stay update on latest industry trends; contributes to internal and client knowledge sharing.
People
Assists in training and mentorship of coordinators
Participates in shared learning and works with Media Supervisors to help put together POV's and best practices
Contributes to programmatic media plan recommendations and client presentations
Daily internal team contact
Contributes to client reporting
Collaborates with media partners/vendors
Works cross functionally (particularly with TAAG, planning/strategy, DS)
Process
Develops appropriate time management skills (advocate for own workload, use downtime purposefully)
Learns programmatic processes (collaboration, using technology effectively, DSP best practices, QA process)
Demonstrates an understanding of putting together programmatic tactical recommendations
Understands the different stages of programmatic execution (trafficking, Creative Matrix, DSP builds, QA, on-going campaign maintenance)
Attention to details and focusing on meticulousness and accuracy of tasks
You will fit right in if you have
Any graduate/B.E/B.Tech/MBA
4-6 years experience in Online media and Programmatic (TTD, DV360, Amazon DSP)
Experience working on DSP platforms like Yahoo (Verizon), DBM, MediaMath, Appnexus etc- will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of Ad serving technologies, analytical tools like GA and Omniture
