Job Description

Role Overview: You will be responsible for improving the way we live and work by intelligently connecting energy systems, buildings, and industries at Siemens. Your role will involve working on smart infrastructure projects that make the world a more connected and caring place, where resources are valued, sustainable energy is delivered optimally, and society can evolve and respond to changing conditions. Key Responsibilities: - Research & Development of MV/HV switchgear with 4-8 years of experience - Sound knowledge of Air Insulated/ Gas Insulated Panels, Vacuum Circuit Breakers - Working knowledge of IEC standards and type testing of switchgear - Knowledge of switching technology, fluorine free insulating gases - Manufacturing knowledge including casting, machining, forging, welding, bending, injection moulding, etc. - Knowledge of material and its standards (ISO, DIN, IS) - Knowledge of production and automation processes - Familiarity with switchgear condition monitoring & digitalisation - Understanding of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), data analysis, and sensors for switchgear application - Knowledge of special application switchgear, Robust Eco Design (RED) - Familiarity with simulations - Ability to work in a global environment - Innovative & creative thinking Qualifications Required: - B.E./MTech. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering - Knowledge of switchgear technology and standards - Experience in switchgear manufacturing and automation - Familiarity with Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and data analysis Additional Company Details: Siemens is a global organization with over 379,000 employees in more than 200 countries.
