Mechanical Supervisor

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical works (preferably in ship repair, marine, or heavy industry).
• Strong technical knowledge in pumps, engines, piping, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day mechanical works such as fitting, assembly, repairs, and testing of equipment.
• Allocate tasks to technicians, fitters, and helpers ensuring effective use of manpower.
• Oversee ship repair / refit / newbuilding mechanical activities (pumps, engines, piping, HVAC, hydraulics, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Monitor job progress, inspect quality of work, and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Coordinate with engineers, planners, and other departments for smooth execution of projects.
• Maintain records of manpower deployment, materials used, and job completion reports.
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure proper upkeep of tools, equipment, and worksite discipline.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
