Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

As an urgently required male candidate, you will be responsible for the following role overview and key responsibilities: Role Overview: You will be part of a team at Phaltan comprising 6 members in Mechanical and 6 in Electrical departments. Your primary responsibility will involve daily maintenance activities in the machine shop, both planned and unplanned, to ensure efficient operations. Additionally, you will be essential in maintaining equipment to its optimal condition to achieve zero quality defects and safety incidents. Your role will also focus on maintaining 5S standards and improving housekeeping in the shop, supporting preventive maintenance of various systems like CNC, SPM, Washing, Gantry, Robot systems, and Material handling systems. It is crucial to update shop breakdown history for analysis and enhance the overall housekeeping standards. Your knowledge of CNC machines, SPM, electrical systems, assembly, test cell equipment, and a disciplined work approach will be key to your success in this position. Key Responsibilities: - Perform breakdown and troubleshooting on a variety of CNC machines, with expertise in FANUC, REXROTH control, Siemens Control, MAZAK, MAG, and GROB machines being an added advantage. - Possess sound knowledge of PLC/HMI programming and troubleshooting, including familiarity with CNC machine architecture, PLC programming, SCADA, Electrical logic, VFD, and machine backup operations. - Understand machine working sequences, including the operations of Mitsubishi, Siemens, and Fanuc-based CNC machines. - Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in KUKA, ABB Robot troubleshooting, and robot programming, along with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to interpret mechanical drawings effectively. - Adhere strictly to LOTO, work permits, and Cummins Safety practices during maintenance and repair activities on the shop floor. Qualifications Required: - ITI/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical or BE in Electrical/Mechanical. - Hands-on experience in breakdown and troubleshooting of CNC machines. - Knowledge of PLC/HMI programming, CNC machine architecture, and mechanical systems. - Familiarity with various CNC machine controls such as FANUC, REXROTH, Siemens, and experience with KUKA, ABB Robot troubleshooting would be advantageous.
