Mechanical Engineering Manager

As a part of the Engineering team in the commercial refrigeration business in India, we are excited to welcome a talented and results-driven engineer to join us. Your role will involve expertise in the development of refrigerant component/system models and providing technical leadership. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and testing physics-based models of refrigeration components and systems, as well as offering technical support to both internal and external customers. Your responsibilities will include designing heat exchangers, balancing refrigeration cycles, and validating them through testing and result analysis. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams for part and product development, conduct testing and approvals of commercial refrigeration products/components, and write specifications and test plans. Additionally, you will be involved in thermal analysis using simulation tools, qualifying products/parts from OEMs, providing technical support to the sales organization, and creating documentation for field commissioning and troubleshooting. To qualify for this role, you should have a minimum qualification of B.E. in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. An M.Tech in Heat Transfer or HVACR would be preferable. You should have experience in control algorithm design, model-based design methodology, tools like MATLAB, Dymola, Refprop, and a strong understanding of refrigeration, thermodynamics, and dynamic system modeling. Good communication skills, project management experience, a sense of responsibility, and willingness to travel are essential requirements. Familiarity with MS Office suites, product life cycles/projects, and new product design processes is also expected.
