Designation-Mechanical Engineer

Location-Hazira Gujarat near Surat

Status- 1 year of contract and further extendable candidate will be on agency payroll i.e MMK payroll

If candidate performance is good then after 1 year client will take candidate on their payroll.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute performance testing of 0.5, 1, and 4 MW alkaline electrolyzers.
• Plan, set up, and execute hydrostatic and leak testing of the stack.
• Oversee cathode activation, including KOH handling, solution preparation, and safe disposal practices.
• Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of mechanical systems (pumps, valves, piping, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, etc.).
• Manage utility systems: chiller units, cooling towers, DM water package, nitrogen generation package, and instrument air systems.
• Conduct regular maintenance of fire water lines and other utility/mechanical systems to ensure operational readiness.
• Support the development and implementation of SOPs, JSA, HIRA, and LOTO procedures for mechanical and utility systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and coordinate corrective actions with vendors or internal teams.
• Monitor instrumentation and interlocks related to mechanical systems, ensuring reliability and safety.
• Maintain records of preventive and predictive maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with process, electrical, and chemical teams during test campaigns for integrated system performance.
• Train operators/technicians on safe operation and emergency procedures for mechanical systems.

Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 25 years of experience in industrial plant operation.
• Hands-on experience in piping, pressure testing, pump operation, compressor and utility systems.
• Understanding of safety practices for mechanical plant operation.
• Knowledge of Hydrogen related systems is preferred.
