Mechanical Engineer

Join a leading engineering consultancy in the manufacturing and industrial sector, delivering end-to-end mechanical system design, prototyping, and process optimization for clients across automotive, heavy machinery, and energy verticals. Our on-site teams leverage advanced CAD/CAE tools and industry best practices to develop robust, cost-effective solutions that exceed quality and performance benchmarks. As part of our dynamic engineering organization, you will drive product development from concept through production. Develop detailed 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo. Perform engineering calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate designs and ensure compliance with safety and performance standards. Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM), specifications, and GD&T documentation in line with quality protocols. Collaborate with manufacturing and procurement teams to select materials and optimize processes for cost, manufacturability, and reliability. Support prototype fabrication, conduct design validation tests, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements based on data and client feedback. Prepare project status reports, design review presentations, and technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Skills & Qualifications Must-Have - Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. - 3+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical design engineering. - Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo. - Practical experience in FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar). - Strong understanding of GD&T principles and manufacturing processes. - Excellent problem-solving skills and clear technical communication. Preferred - Masters degree or professional certification (PE, CEng). - Experience in automotive, aerospace, or heavy equipment industries. - Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality standards and Six Sigma methodologies. - Exposure to project management tools (MS Project, Primavera). - Knowledge of reverse engineering and rapid prototyping techniques. - Previous consulting or client-facing project experience. - Candidate must have prior experience working in a defence manufacturing environment (vendor/supplier of sheet metal components to the defence sector).,
