About the role:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Junior Mechanical Engineer with 23 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design and drafting using SolidWorks. The ideal candidate will assist the engineering team in updating product designs, creating and maintaining technical documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support manufacturability and cost-efficiency. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in mechanical and(or) electromechanical design, has a solid understanding of structural, thermal, and stress analysis to support reliable product design and can work independently under the guidance of senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

-Create and update Technical Product Documents (TPDs), including assembly procedures, installation procedures, service procedures, etc.

-Perform design updates on mechanical and electromechanical components using SolidWorks, considering structural, thermal, and stress considerations to ensure product reliability.

-Develop and maintain design documentation such as detailed part drawings, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM), ensuring compliance with industry standards (GD&T, SEMI).

-Work with suppliers and internal stakeholders (engineering, manufacturing, sourcing) to support cost-effective and manufacturable design solutions.

-Apply knowledge of materials such as metals, plastics, and ceramics to enhance and optimize product design and performance.

-Support design reviews, manage revisions, and maintain accurate documentation throughout the product development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.

Experience

24 years of industry experience in mechanical design and drafting.

-Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modelling, 2D drafting, and assembly design.

-Strong understanding and hands-on experience with GD&T

-Solid understanding of structural, thermal, and stress analysis for mechanical reliability.

-Familiarity with engineering standards, drafting conventions, and revision control.

-Ability to interpret and apply engineering feedback and requirements effectively.

-Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
