We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented
Mechanical Design Engineer
to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for designing mechanical components and assemblies using CAD tools like SolidWorks
, and validating designs through Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
. The ideal candidate should have a strong mechanical engineering foundation, experience in creating manufacturing-ready drawings, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Design mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD tools such as
SolidWorks
. Perform
FEA simulations
(stress, thermal, vibration, etc) to ensure structural integrity and performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, manufacturing, and product teams to refine designs.
Prepare 2D detailed drawings, BOMs, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly.
Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety guidelines, and product specifications.
Support prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical components.
Maintain version control and documentation of all design files and revisions.
Requirements:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
1+ years
of experience in mechanical design and CAD modeling. Proficient in
SolidWorks
(or similar 3D CAD tools). Strong understanding and hands-on experience with
Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
tools (eg, ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation). Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, injection molding, etc
Familiarity with GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and DFM/DFA principles.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Nice to Have:
Experience in
designing for drones, robotics, or aerospace applications
. Exposure to
PLM systems
and revision control. Hands-on experience in
prototyping or lab testing
