Mechanical Design Engineer - 2D

Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled AutoCAD 2D Design Engineer with experience in pharma machinery design. The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed 2D drawings for manufacturing, ensuring compliance with cGMP standards, and coordinating closely with production, QC, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD for pharma machines such as:
• ANFD, FBD, RMG, Sparkler Filter, RCVD, PNF, Vibro Sifter, Multimill, VTD, Reactors, Ointment Mfg Plant etc.
• Develop GA drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and BOMs.
• Modify and update drawings based on:
• Customer specifications
• FAT observations
• Production and QC feedback
• Ensure designs comply with cGMP, FDA, and pharmaceutical industry standards.
• Coordinate with production, purchase, store, QC, and service teams for design clarifications and execution.
• Support the sales team with technical drawings and layout drawings when required.
• Maintain proper drawing revision control and documentation.
• Assist in standardization and improvement of existing designs.
• Ensure timely release of drawings to meet project delivery schedules.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D (mandatory).
• Good understanding of:
• Fabrication drawings
• Knowledge of pharma equipment design and manufacturing practices.
• Familiarity with BOM preparation.
• Basic knowledge of materials (SS 304 / 316 / 316L) used in pharma machines.
• Ability to interpret P&ID and process requirements.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under timelines.

Educational Qualification

• Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.

Experience

• 2 years of relevant experience in:
• Pharma machinery
• Process equipment
• Industrial equipment manufacturing

(Experience in pharma equipment design will be preferred.)

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
