Mechanic

You will be joining Almatis" Operations team in Falta as a Mechanic for the Repair & Maintenance department. Your role will involve the following responsibilities: - Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machines according to the schedule. - Monitor machine logs and operator feedback to identify and report any anomalies. - Ensure availability of spare parts and maintain stock accuracy in SAP. - Conduct technical tasks such as welding, grinding, and gas cutting with proper safety measures and permits. - Inspect lifting tools and carry out modification jobs with innovative solutions. - Focus on maximizing machine availability and minimizing downtime. In terms of compliance and safety, you will be expected to: - Adhere to company rules and EHS procedures. - Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) correctly and follow Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures. - Participate in daily safety meetings and report any EHS incidents. - Support emergency response efforts including fire, rescue, and oil spill management. - Regularly inspect safety equipment such as harnesses and lifelines. Furthermore, you will be involved in Continuous Improvement initiatives, including: - Implementing 5S principles in the maintenance area and responding to audit findings. - Engaging in Kaizen and problem-solving activities. - Conducting daily toolbox checks and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Qualifications required for this role include: - Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed engineering college or university. - 8-10 years of experience in a mid-sized manufacturing unit.,
