Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Perform and oversee routine and specialized microbiological tests
Reporting and interpretation of laboratory results (Bacteriology, Virology, Mycology, Parasitology, Serology)
Antibiotic sensitivity testing and infection control guidance
Supervise lab technicians and ensure quality control procedures
Maintain NABL / CAP / ISO standards and documentation
Participate in clinical discussions and hospital infection control programs
Handle audits, quality assurance, and accreditation processes
Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and regulatory norms

Preferred candidate profile

Strong knowledge of clinical microbiology
Experience in automated analyzers and lab instruments
Infection control and antimicrobial stewardship
Quality management systems (NABL preferred)
Good analytical, communication, and reporting skills
Ability to work independently and in a team
