Material Engineer

As a Material Engineer for the AI/Data Centre project, your role involves managing material coordination, inspection, and handling to ensure timely availability, quality compliance, and optimal utilization of construction and technical materials. You will be responsible for coordinating with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to maintain a seamless material flow. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure timely delivery and availability of materials for civil, electrical, mechanical, and MEP works. - Coordinate with the logistics team for handling bought-out materials. - Coordinate SAS-related activities such as material entry, MIN, PR, Mat Codes, Stock Transfer, and material reconciliation. - Inspect materials for quality, compliance with specifications, and adherence to standards and safety requirements. - Maintain accurate inventory records, material logs, and tracking systems. - Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to resolve supply issues and ensure on-time delivery. - Forecast material requirements, upload budgets in the system in coordination with FC&A, manage cash flow, and optimize usage to minimize wastage. - Support approval processes for material submittals, sample approvals, and testing. - Ensure that all material handling, storage, and transportation follow safety, quality, and environmental standards. Qualification Required: - You should have 7-10 years of experience in a similar role. - Educational Qualifications: B.E/B.Tech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.,
