Material Engineer

Role Overview: SLB Capturi is a leading carbon capture technology company dedicated to serving various carbon-emitting industries like cement, blue hydrogen, bio/waste-to-energy, and gas-to-power, among others. By implementing carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS), we aim to mitigate the environmental impact of industrial activities for a cleaner and more sustainable future. With a growing market potential, we are seeking a skilled Material Engineer to contribute to our carbon capture projects in Mumbai and help unlock the potential of CCUS. Key Responsibilities: - Check and review bid documents - Prepare and review Piping Material Specifications - Create and review datasheets for valves and special parts - Perform calculations for pipe wall thickness, branch reinforcement, vacuum, specialty line blanks, etc. - Prepare technical supply documents for piping items, including valves - Generate Piping Material Requisitions - Conduct technical evaluations of vendor offers and prepare technical bid analysis reports for piping valves and special parts - Review vendor documents and drawings for piping valves and special parts - Coordinate with clients, vendors, and engineers from other disciplines - Estimate Insulation and Painting Bill of Materials - Prepare Piping MTO and Inch Dia/Inch Metre reports Qualifications Required: - B.E./B.Tech or Diploma degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related branches of engineering or equivalent - Minimum of 7 years of experience in a reputable engineering company dealing with the Chemical, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Offshore Oil and Gas Industry - Familiarity with international codes and standards such as ASTM, API, ASME, and EN - Strong knowledge of piping design principles, industry standards, and best practices - Hands-on experience with AVEVA ERM is advantageous - Excellent communication skills in English and strong collaboration abilities - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet project deadlines, and problem-solve effectively - Self-motivated, proactive, analytical, systematic, and transparent in your work approach Additional Company Details: SLB Capturi believes in the significance of carbon capture to achieve the objectives of the Paris Agreement.
