Master Data Analyst

Job Purpose

Using the existing MRP systems, understand the master data gaps and inaccuracies that exist today. Take short term actions correct existing master data shortfalls, and provide a long term plan to maintain accurate data moving forward.

Key Job Elements

• Master data refresh (MOQs, Lead Time) on thousands of unique part numbers.
• Identify order interval opportunities and recommendation through proper channels (e.g. ordering (1) piece at a time, but significant cost saving opportunities).
• Implementation of RCCP principles/tools with high risk suppliers (Ensure we have a plan in place to support increased loco volumes).
• Master Data Governance Moving Forward: Need master data tool to streamline data management (common material master).
• Improve ability to analyze assurance of supply risk (bad data = inaccurate assessment of supply chain ability to support).

Education and Training

Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain specialization preferred.

Qualifications and Experience

• Knowledge of ERP systems
• Experience in a supply chain or procurement role
• Strong MS Excel and ERP/MRP system skills;
• Competency using other computer-based programs such as Word, Outlook, Power Point;
• Solid problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills;
• Demonstrated ability to work in a self-directed, team-based environment;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to negotiate solutions with suppliers and internal customers.

Preferred:

• Experience in mechanical, electrical, weld manufacturing environment;
• Six Sigma trained preferred;
• Experience working with SAP/LN Systems.
