Job Description

Job Purpose: A Storage Administrator plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining an organizations data storage systems Job Description: System Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance checks, troubleshoot issues, and optimize storage performance Storage Provisioning: Configure and administer storage solutions such as NAS (Network Attached Storage), SAN (Storage Area Network), and DAS (Direct Attached Storage) Disaster Recovery: Develop and implement disaster recovery strategies to protect data integrity and availability Performance Tuning: Monitor and tune storage systems for optimal performance Technical Skill: 10+ working experience in managing and administrating Datacenter In-depth technology knowledge about Dell PowerMax block storage Configuration, tunning, security and administration Have experience of deploying, configuring and troubleshooting Dell ISILON storage Working experience on Severs (ESXi hosts, bare metal servers) Able to administrate, configure and manage file shares Have experience with Dell Open Manage Enterprise (OME) Have Experience with Dell PowerEdge compute Firmware lifecycle Have experience of managing Firmware lifecycle upgrades on Dell Storages Experience with cabling troubleshooting Ethernet and Fiber-channel connectivity Ability to create baselines to manage the lifecycle of ESXi hosts & VM hardware tool versioning Have experience in VM deployment and configuration Experience with VMware operations for Performance troubleshooting, automation & capacity planning along with appliance lifecycle Proficient in VM deployment and Configuration Ability to migrate workloads to and from various vSphere instances as needed Have experience of managing Dell IDPA appliances for backup & restoration Have experience of storage replication technology and tools Have in-depth understanding on storage encryption and compressions features Have experience of writing SOPs, standard guidelines documentations Work with Compliance team to understand security need and provide industry best recommendation Have worked on Datacenter migration projects from planning to deployment phases Have experience on managing administrating windows servers Excellent trouble shooting skills (performance, connectivity, system resources) Experience with SCOM tool administration and monitoring Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in CIS, MIS or equivalent work experience Experience with Dell Technologies and Tools Good communication skills Project management skills is plus JIRA tool knowledge is plus Excellent organizational skills The use of good judgment and good interpersonal communication skills Exercises confidentiality and discretion
