Role & responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Positioning

  • Define and articulate a compelling brand narrative that resonates with diverse consumer segments.
  • Drive differentiated product positioning and premiumization strategies across categories and markets.
  • Safeguard brand equity while delivering measurable business outcomes.

Innovation & New Product Development

  • Lead the end-to-end NPD process from consumer insight, concept validation, packaging innovation, to go-to-market launch.
  • Translate market research and trend analysis into commercially viable product roadmaps.
  • Champion design-thinking and fast execution to maintain category leadership.

Digital-First & Consumer Engagement

  • Build and scale a D2C-first marketing ecosystem leveraging performance marketing, content, and community engagement.
  • Oversee digital channels (SEO, SEM, social, influencer, e-commerce) to drive customer acquisition and retention.
  • Blend data-driven insights with creativity to deliver high ROI campaigns.

Market Research & Insights

  • Commission and analyze consumer and market research to identify unmet needs and emerging opportunities.
  • Track competitor activities, pricing, and category dynamics to anticipate shifts and adapt strategies.
  • Use analytics tools and KPIs to continuously evaluate campaign performance and optimize spend.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with R&D, Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment of product innovation, pricing, and channel strategy.
  • Partner with agencies and vendors to deliver integrated marketing solutions on time and within budget.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performance marketing team with a culture of accountability and innovation.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Education:

    MBA/PGDM from a reputed institute.
  • Experience:

    Minimum

    15 years

    of progressive experience in marketing and brand leadership, preferably in FMCG, Consumer Goods, Stationery, or allied industries.
  • Proven Expertise In:

    • Building and scaling strong consumer brands.
    • Driving D2C and digital-first marketing initiatives.
    • Leading NPD, packaging innovation, and market entry strategies.
    • Translating consumer insights into commercial success.
  • Skills & Attributes:

    • Visionary leadership with a hands-on, entrepreneurial approach.
    • Strong analytical and financial acumen with focus on ROI.
    • Exceptional communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments with a skin-in-the-game mindset.
