Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Market Research Intern to support our business development efforts in the commercial kitchen equipment sector. The intern will focus on identifying and profiling new and upcoming restaurants, cafes, hotels, cloud kitchens, and related establishments. The role is key to generating quality leads for our sales team and gathering market intelligence.

Selected Intern’s Day-to-day Responsibilities Include

Identify new and upcoming restaurants, hotels, cafes, bars, cloud kitchens and food courts across targeted regions.
Collect detailed information: owner/decision-maker names, location, seating capacity, cuisine type, and project stage (concept, under construction, operational).
Track renovation or expansion plans of existing establishments.
Maintain and update a database (Excel/CRM) of identified businesses and leads.
Share regular (weekly/biweekly) reports summarizing findings.
Highlight high-potential leads for the sales team.
Use digital tools (Google, Zomato, Swiggy, LinkedIn, Instagram, trade news) to discover leads.
Monitor food/hospitality news, permits, licenses, and mall announcements.
Conduct local field visits to identify new sites.
Track competitors’ client base (where possible).
Identify emerging trends in the HoReCa industry — e.g. rise of cloud kitchens, green kitchens, QSR growth.
