Marine Claims Executive / Analyst

As a Marine Claims Executive / Analyst at [Your Company Name], you will be responsible for managing marine claims related to Demurrage, Cargo, Import/Export, and Shipping Operations. Your role will involve researching, reviewing, and analyzing contract terms and documentation to prepare accurate claim calculations. You will also be actively following up on claims with third parties and affiliates, ensuring timely recovery and compliance. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage and process marine claims related to Demurrage, Cargo, Import/Export, and Shipping Operations. - Research, review, and analyze contract terms, documentation, and events for accurate claim calculations. - Follow up on claims with third parties and affiliates, issuing invoices for receivable claims. - Escalate issues to supervisors and relevant business lines in a timely manner. - Develop, monitor, and review control reports for timely submission of receivable claims. - Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding claims status. - Manage aged claims and outstanding items, working towards timely closure. - Track and follow up on overdue or outstanding invoices issued to counterparties. - Identify and report process improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency. **Required Skills & Expertise:** - 2+ years of experience in Marine Claims / Cargo / Shipping / Insurance domain. - Strong knowledge of Demurrage, Port Operations, Import & Export Documentation, and Marine Insurance. - Excellent analytical and communication skills. - High attention to detail and accuracy in financial calculations. - Strong stakeholder management and follow-up abilities. - Proficiency in MS Excel and other office productivity tools. **Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Maritime Studies, Logistics, or related field. - Postgraduate / Certification in Shipping, Marine, or Insurance preferred.
