Position Overview

The Engineer Manufacturing will be responsible for all engineering activities related to CAD, CAM, documentation, QMS processes, fixture design, and cross-functional coordination. The role requires strong technical expertise in engineering design and manufacturing processes, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Qualifications

• BE / Diploma / GTTC / NTTF (

  Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering preferred

  )

Experience

• 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in engineering, CAD/CAM, and manufacturing documentation.

Preferred Industry Background

• Candidates from tool room companies or Tier-2 machining vendors.
• Not preferred from OEMs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Engineering (CAD & CAM) Activities

• Execute and oversee all CAD and CAM related engineering tasks.
• Develop and maintain accurate product models and engineering designs.

2. Engineering Documentation

• Prepare and release complete engineering documentation including:
• Stage drawings
• Process sheets
• Product-related 3D modelling and drawings

3. Engineering QMS Responsibilities

• Manage and execute QMS-related engineering controls such as:
• Engineering Change Requests (ECR)
• Engineering Change Notes (ECN)
• Preparation and maintenance of engineering review notes
• Configuration management for all assigned projects

4. Fixture Design Activities

• Participate in fixture design development including:
• Concept creation
• 3D modelling
• Preparation of manufacturing drawings

5. Coordination with Inspection/Quality Teams

• Work closely with the inspection team for:
• Final and stage drawing validation
• Final, stage, and stock model verification

6. CAM Tool Library Management

• Maintain an updated and accurate tool library within the CAM application.

7. Technical Reviews & Cross-Functional Team (CFT) Discussions

• Participate in technical design and process review meetings.
• Provide required data, analysis, and documentation for discussions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and consolidate project-related information.

8. Estimation Support

• Provide CAM-related technical inputs during the estimation and costing phase of projects.
