Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Chemist to join our dynamic production team The ideal candidate will be responsible for the execution and optimization of manufacturing processes, ensuring that all products meet our high-quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements

Key Responsibilities

Formulate and scale-up batches of skincare, cosmetic, and oral care products according to established SOPs Oversee the preparation of bulk manufacturing and support validation and pilot production Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, and regulatory guidelines in all manufacturing activities Conduct raw material compatibility, stability, and performance testing Monitor and troubleshoot manufacturing processes and suggest improvements for efficiency and quality Collaborate with the R&D, QA, and Production departments for smooth tech transfers and new product introductions Maintain accurate batch records, logs, and documentation per regulatory and internal standards Participate in audits, CAPAs, and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications & Skills

Hard Skills:

Knowledge of formulation chemistry for skincare, cosmetics, and/or oral care Familiarity with GMP, GLP, ISO standards, and regulatory frameworks (FDA, BIS, etc) Hands-on experience with lab equipment and manufacturing machinery Understanding of raw materials, emulsions, surfactants, actives, preservatives, etc Ability to troubleshoot and optimize production formulas

Soft Skills:

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Team-oriented with a proactive and problem-solving mindset Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Education & Certifications

B Sc /M Sc in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field Certification in Cosmetic Formulation or GMP (preferred but not mandatory)

Preferred Experience

2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role within the cosmetic, skincare, or oral care industry Experience in private label or contract manufacturing environments is a plus Exposure to scale-up and production troubleshooting is highly desirable
