Manual Tester QA (AGL1)

Role Overview:

• We are looking for a QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our application. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a passion for problem-solving, and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. The QA Tester is responsible for performing high-quality testing on applications to assess system/process quality. working closely with application developers, business analysts, and infrastructure engineers throughout all stages of the software development lifecycle to ensure systems meet organizational standards and end-user requirements.

The QA Engineer Team Member will:

• Work closely with team members to ensure understanding of the acceptance criteria
• Be responsible for writing and maintaining manual test scenarios and Test Cases.
• Be responsible for executing those test scenarios
• Be responsible for identifying defects and for documenting those defects
• Be self-organized, self-motivated and require minimal supervision
• Be familiar with agile development methodology and with the associated ceremonies
• Be familiar with Unit Testing, System Testing, Integration Testing and STLC phases.
• Experience in Web Services and API Testing using Postman/Rest-Assured/SOAP UI.
• Knowledge of RDBMS databases like MS-SQL Server, Oracle with strong SQL knowledge
• Be a fast learner and a team player, Participate in release verification
• Work to execute and refine our quality standards and processes
• Test Planning, analysing test data requirements and test execution
• Performing test case creation and execution.
• Responsible for assuring the Quality procedures and standards related to the project
• Ensuring defect follow up and closure by coordinating with different teams involved in the project
• Organizing meeting with various teams for quicker resolution and closure of defects as an active member team
• Build verification and validation
• Agile Environment: Work effectively in an Agile environment, planning, monitoring, and executing test activities across multiple customers and stakeholders.
• Quality Escalation: Clearly and promptly escalate concerns regarding project, product, or process quality in a collaborative manner.
• Continuous Improvement: Demonstrate initiative and leadership in improving quality plans for the technical environment.

Position Requirements:

• CS degree and/or 2 to 4 years of experience in a QA Analyst or QA Engineer capacity
• Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) are required
• Experience with testing web and mobile applications is desired
• Experience working in an Agile methodology is desired
• Experience with test case management and defect tracking software is desired
• ISTQB Testing Certifications
• Being a team player is required
