Key Responsibilities -

Must-Have Skills

• 2-3 years

  hands-on manual testing of consumer-facing mobile apps (Android and/or iOS).
• Strong grasp of

  SDLC/STLC

  , Agile/Scrum, and regression / smoke / sanity concepts.
• Experience with

  Test Case Management

  tools.
• Proficient in

  Jira

  (or similar) for bug tracking and sprint collaboration.
• Able to capture

  clear reproduction steps, logs, screenshots, and videos

  .
• Comfort with

  ADB commands, emulator/device setups, and logcat

  for debugging.
• Solid understanding of

  mobile UI/UX guidelines

  and common failure points (installs, in-app purchases, push notifications, deep links, ANRs, crashes).

Good written & verbal communication; able to articulate risk and priority to devs & PMs.

Nice-to-Have

• Exposure to

  basic automation scripting

  (Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, Detox, or Cypress).
• Experience validating

  analytics events

  (Firebase, Adjust, RudderStack).
• Prior work on

  live-streaming, fintech, or high-traffic social platforms

  .

What Success Looks Like (First 6 Months)

• Ramp-up:

  Deep-dive into our app ecosystem, release cadence, and QA processes.

• Stability:

  Reduce escaped defects in production by > 30 % through rigorous regression sweeps.

• Efficiency:

  Cut average bug-reproduction turnaround from 1 day to 4 hours via better logging & device farms.

• Collaboration:

  Become the go-to QA owner for at least one key product vertical.
