Job Summary:

Manual Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze

  requirements, specifications, and technical documents

  to develop effective test plans and test cases.
• Perform

  manual functional testing

  , including regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps).
  
• Execute test cases and report results clearly and concisely.
  
• Work with developers and product teams to reproduce issues and validate fixes.
  
• Prepare and manage

  test data

  as required for various test scenarios.
• Ensure test coverage and maintain traceability matrices when needed.
  
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and review meetings (Agile/Scrum environments).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  

• 6 years

  of experience in manual testing (adjust as needed).
• Strong understanding of

  software testing concepts

  ,

  STLC

  , and

  SDLC

  .
• Ability to design detailed

  test cases

  , test scenarios, and test plans.
• Experience testing

  web, mobile, or desktop applications

  .
• Knowledge of defect lifecycle and experience using bug-tracking tools (JIRA, ClickUp, Trello, Redmine, etc.).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in

  Agile/Scrum

  development environments.
• Exposure to exploratory testing, usability testing, and compatibility testing.
  
• Knowledge of testing cross-browser, cross-platform, and responsive applications.
  
• Basic understanding of automation concepts/tools (Selenium, Cypress, etc.) is a plus but not required.
