Job Description

Manhattan Architect

Mandatory Skills

Hands-on experience with Manhattan WMS (WMOS or the newer Manhattan Active version) implementations.
Strong SQL skills (Oracle database or similar) and ability to write queries.
Knowledge of warehouse operations: inbound, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, slotting, labor-management, automation equipment.
Experience with system integrations: ERP (e.g., SAP), WCS (warehouse control system), robotics/automation.
Testing skills: Integration testing, functional testing, system testing. Documentation skills (FSD etc).

Responsibilities

Act as subject matter expert (SME) in Manhattan WMS: Understand the product, how clients use it, best practices.
Translate business requirements into WMS solution design: Youll gather/understand warehouse operations processes (inbound, outbound, picking, slotting, etc), and specify how the system should be configured.
Configure / implement the system: Set up the WMS software for the client including modules, workflows, integrations (ERP, automation equipment, conveyors, robotics) etc.
Testing and support: Functional testing, integration testing, go-live support, possibly hyper-care (post-go-live support) and root cause analysis of issues.
Documentation & training: Create functional specs, user manuals, training materials; conduct end-user training.
Integration & data work: Work on SQL, database, middleware, interface with other systems (ERP like SAP, automation equipment).
Possibly leadership/mentoring: On senior roles, you may mentor others, design solutions, manage a small team
