Manger - Research & Development (Lozenges)

Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with strong technical expertise in lozenge formulation, development, and technology transfer. The ideal candidate will independently manage end-to-end activities related to lozenge projectsfrom concept and development to scale-up, troubleshooting, and commercial manufacturing.

Role & responsibilities

Product Development:

• Formulation development and process design for lozenges.
• Innovation of new lozenge concepts, flavors, and dosage formats.
• Ensure regulatory and quality compliance during product design.

Technology Transfer & Scale-Up:

• Lead technology transfer from R&D to manufacturing facilities.
• Oversee pilot and commercial-scale batch executions.
• Prepare technical documentation, batch records, and SOPs.
  

Troubleshooting & Optimization:

• Resolve formulation, process, and production challenges.
• Implement process improvements for efficiency, yield, and quality.
  

Project & Stakeholder Management:

• Drive projects from concept to market launch.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, QC, Manufacturing, Regulatory).
• Provide technical support to manufacturing units as required.

Preferred candidate profile

• Masters / Bachelors degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences / Pharmaceutics / Chemistry or related discipline.
• 10+ years of proven experience in lozenge formulation and development.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
• Hands-on experience in scale-up, validation, and troubleshooting of lozenge manufacturing.
• Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.

• Willingness to travel and relocate to Nigeria as per business needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
