Manager/Sr Manager - Strategic Sourcing ( Electrical )

Job Overview:

Candidate is responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies to optimize the supply chain, reduce costs, and ensure the quality of products and services. This role requires a keen understanding of market dynamics, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers.

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing, development, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Exp in managing individual projects.
• Exp in people management/ team handling.
• Good understanding on the market trends for commodities (Copper, Zinc, Lead & Aluminum)
• Ability to analyze complex data and market trends.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in electrical or Electronics Engineering from a reputed institution or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Implement Sourcing Strategies:

  Identify and evaluate sourcing opportunities to drive cost savings and enhance supply chain efficiency.

• Supplier Management:

  Establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, ensuring they meet company standards for quality, delivery, and cost. Spearhead Supplier assessments, audits, supplier performance management and trainings & development.

• Market Analysis:

  Conduct thorough market research to stay informed of industry trends, emerging suppliers, and market conditions.

• Negotiation:

  Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous terms for the company, including pricing, delivery, and service agreements.

• Product/component development:

  Strong technical knowledge of electrical and electronics components for smooth component development, qualification process and PPAP sign offs. Lead Sourcing deliverables for closure of all development actions as per the organizations requirements.

• Risk Management:

  Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  Work closely with internal teams, such as Product Development, Quality Assurance, and Operations, to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.

• Performance Metrics:

  Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of sourcing strategies and supplier performance.

• Continuous Improvement:

  Identify opportunities for process improvements within the sourcing function and implement best practices.
