Manager/Assistant Manager Quality and Risk Support

As a member of the Risk Management team at Grant Thornton, your role will involve providing advice and assistance on independence, conflicts, regulatory, and risk management issues. You will play a crucial part in ensuring compliance responsibilities are met while supporting client-facing teams in delivering top-quality service. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the firm's independence confirmation procedures and processes, identifying and documenting potential conflicts of interest within Grant Thornton member firms. - Conduct research and screen firm databases to identify existing relationships and perform compliance testing. - Research and create ownership structures/family trees of Grant Thornton clients using external databases and secondary research. - Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. - Review work performed by team members to guarantee timely delivery of quality output. - Cultivate, maintain, and strengthen stakeholder relationships. - Identify areas for process enhancement and present viable solutions. - Mentor, supervise, and develop junior team members through effective guidance and support. - Assist in business development efforts and foster collaboration with other divisions within the Firm. Qualifications Required: - Hold a degree in Finance, Business, or Social Sciences. - Possess 6-9 years of relevant experience in a similar role, with a preference for experience in a professional services firm. - Have good knowledge of secondary research sources such as Orbis, D&B, and companies house. - Proficiency in MS Office tools like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. - Strong critical thinking skills.
