JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Role Manager - Vertical Transport

1.1

Plans, Directs, and Supervises staff (skilled and semiskilled personnel) efforts to effectively complete activities related to Daily operations (Repairs, Maintenance, Safety).

1.2

Responsible for managing all operations relating to the maintenance of all elevators and escalators and subsidiary equipment, including planning and scheduling work of subordinate team to most efficiently, ensure the safe operating condition of elevators / escalators to minimize service down time.

1.3

Coordinates elevator/ escalator maintenance and repair program activities and operations on an assigned vendor. Ensures adherence to safety policies, procedures and work standards, provides highly responsible, technical and complex assistance, oversite training to Technical team members.

1.4

Co-ordinates response to emergency situations (i.e. Stuck up, Fire call) which may impact RCP operations. Ensures Corporate service policies, practices and follows organizational operation and safety standards.

  • Having 6-8 Years experience in Elevator / Vertical Transport Installation- Commissioning & Project. Education
  • Diploma / B.E. / B. Tech. in Electrical Engineering. Skills (Behavioural & Technical)
  • ITC of Elevator & Escalators.
  • Operation and Maintenance of all type of Elevators & Escalators.
  • Developing and maintaining inventory levels.
  • Developing and conducting safety training programs.
  • Good Communication skill.
  • Strong decision maker.
  • Troubleshooting while breakdown.
  • Fault finding and Error readings on Main drive and Mother boards.
  • Time Management & Deadline Oriented.
  • Analytical Thinking.
  • Pro-Active in Safety.

  • Testing and commissioning of Elevators & Escalators.
  • Operational characteristics, services and activities of a comprehensive elevator and escalator maintenance and repair program.
  • Current and complex principles and practices of safety as they pertain to elevator and escalator repair and maintenance.
  • Methods and techniques for installation and removal of elevator and escalator equipment.
  • Principles and procedures for Maintain records.
  • Principles of supervision, training and performance evaluation.
  • Knowledge Related Federal, State and local laws, codes and regulations.

Oversees and coordinates the organization, teams and operational activities on an assigned vendor personnel responsible for the maintenance and repair of elevators and escalators.

1. Participates in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and priorities, recommends and implements resulting policies and procedures.

2. Identifies opportunities for improving service delivery methods and procedures; identifies resource needs; reviews with appropriate management team; implements improvements.

3. Plans daily, weekly and long-term work schedules and projects; directs, coordinates and reviews the work plan for assigned elevator and escalator maintenance and repair services on an assigned vendor Personnels.

4. Assigns work activities; monitors work flow; reviews and evaluates work, methods and procedures; meets with vendors to identify and resolve problems.

5. Conducts on-the-job technical and safety training for assigned maintenance employees; researches and resolves staffing issues and concerns.

6. Maintains maintenance records of time and materials; prepares a variety of statistical reports.

7. Oversees and participates on elevator and escalator rehabilitation activity; coordinates upgrade of obsolete system equipment; works closely with vendors to repair and replace needed parts; salvages usable parts.

8. Coordinates the work with that of other maintenance supervisors on a large or complex project that may require assistance from several maintenance specialties.

9. Selects, trains, motivates and evaluates assigned personnel; provides or coordinates staff training; works with employees to correct deficiencies; implements discipline and termination procedures.

10. Provides technical assistance to the O&M Team; participates on a variety of committees; prepares and presents staff reports and other correspondence as appropriate and necessary.

11. Coordinates elevator and escalator maintenance and repair activities with Vendors / O&M Team.

12. Attends and participates in professional group meetings; stays abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of elevator and escalator maintenance and repair.
