As a Manager, UX Design at Material, you will play a crucial role in leading and mentoring the APAC UX Design team to create transformative customer experiences. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading and Mentoring the team: - Attracting top talent to the team, fostering a collaborative environment for designers at all levels. - Managing the team's time, work plans, and resource allocations efficiently within budget and time constraints. - Staying updated on industry trends, emerging design patterns, and technology advancements to drive innovative solutions. - Leading and Overseeing projects: - Guiding and leading projects for Fortune 500 brands and global businesses, ensuring high-quality UX design standards are met to improve user experience and support business goals. - Overseeing the creation of high-fidelity UI/UX designs, prototypes, design language systems, and interactive mock-ups to effectively communicate design concepts. - Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to align design efforts with business goals and user needs. - Leading or participating in UX research to understand user behaviors and perceptions for effective design decisions. - Driving growth for Design: - Supporting new business development and scoping of project work in partnership with Client Partners and Product Managers. - Providing guidance to clients on incorporating design into their product strategies effectively. About you: - You have 8+ years of related work experience as a Designer, UI/UX, or a similar role. - You possess expertise in UX design, visual design, and interaction design across multiple digital platforms. - You have 3+ years of experience managing designers with a track record of empowering your team to succeed. - You are knowledgeable in FIGMA, Adobe suite, program management tools like Confluence and Jira, and Agile methodologies. - You have expertise in AA WCAG compliance and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - You are open to travel and team leadership at client sites in various geographies. - You have expert knowledge of typography, color theory, layout composition, and strong problem-solving skills. - You hold a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
