Manager - UX design

As the Manager of UX Design at Material, your primary role will be to lead the APAC UX Design team in creating transformative customer experiences. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading and mentoring the team by attracting top talent, creating a collaborative environment, and managing time and resources effectively. - Staying updated with industry trends, emerging design patterns, and technology advancements to drive innovative solutions. - Guiding and leading projects for Fortune 500 brands and global businesses, ensuring high-quality UX design that supports product and business goals. - Overseeing the creation of high-fidelity UI/UX designs, prototypes, design language systems, and interactive mock-ups to effectively communicate design concepts. - Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to align design efforts with business goals and user needs. - Supporting new business development and scoping project work in partnership with Client Partners and Product Managers. - Providing advice and guidance to clients on incorporating design into their product strategies. - Identifying scalable design solutions that create new opportunities for Material's growth. Qualifications required for this role include: - 8 years of related work experience in a Designer, UI/UX, or similar role. - Expertise in UX design, visual design, and interaction design with examples of design work across multiple digital platforms. - 3 years of experience managing designers, establishing workflows, and empowering teams for growth and success. - Proficiency in FIGMA, Adobe suite, program management tools like Confluence and Jira, and Agile delivery methodologies. - Knowledge of AA WCAG compliance, typography, color theory, and layout composition. - Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and persuasion skills. - Openness to travel and lead teams at client sites in various geographies with expertise in cross-cultural communication. - Strong problem-solving, analytical, time management, and project management skills. - Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
