DESIGNATION : Manager - Taxation
Shared Service Unit: Finance Shared Services

LOCATION : Bangalore

Role: The person would be responsible to ensure seamless service delivery of General Ledger processes as per the agreed Service Levels. Further, ensure the team is effectively resourced and manage relationships with business partners (internal & external) and support teams like HR, Admin etc.. The Manager is also responsible for building/maintaining a co-operative, motivated, resilient and successful team.
Responsibilities:

Managing and leading the Functional team of Taxation Recruiting functional staff and consultants / contractors with the help of HR

Managing co-ordination of the Stake holders and work group engaged in function.

Detailed Function delivery planning and control including:

Developing and maintaining a functional delivery plan.

Recording and managing Process / Functional issues and escalating where necessary.

Resolving cross-functional issues.

Monitoring team progress and performance.

Providing status reports to the Manager/Delivery Head (FSS Manager).

Maintain Training Needs Assessments for the team and ensure necessary trainings are provided (Functional/Personal development skills).

Liaison with, and updates progress to Finance Manager (Business), Operations head/ Senior management.

Working closely with teams to ensure the function meets timelines and quality needs.

Monthly review of GSTR with that of books of accounts Handling queries relating to GST as and when arises

Monthly review of GSTR returns before sending to sellers

Monthly review of TDS deduction

Periodic review of TDS returns

Handling queries relating to TDS or form 16A as and when arises.

Co ordinate with cross functional teams such as O2C, AP, R2R for respective teams requirements.

Suggesting process improvements.

Basic preparations of notices issued by GST/Income Tax department
QUALIFICATION : B Com/Mcom/MBA
