Position: Manager Structural Packaging Development

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

• Design Creation:

  Use Artios CAD system to create conceptual and production-ready designs per customer specifications.

• Product Development:

  Develop packaging products as per set specifications and guidelines.

• Mock-ups & Product Approvals:

  Create mock-ups and visual designs and work with Account managers for necessary product approvals.

• Testing & Compliance:

  Arrange the approved mock-ups for required product testing.

• Cross-functional Collaboration:

  Work with other relevant departments to ensure the product are developed and deployed for commercial production.

• Technical Expertise and Application:

  Analyze and resolve technical issues related to components, packaging, manufacturing methods, and performance. Apply strong visual (2D and 3D), conceptual, and mechanical aptitude to drive innovation and problem-solving.

• Costing & Negotiation:

  Conduct costing for new developments and negotiate best prices from material suppliers.

• Manufacturing Oversight:

  Ensure that manufacturing performance and quality goals are met during new developments.

• Pre-development Meetings:

  Arrange and conduct pre-development meetings with relevant stakeholders, document discussions, and share minutes of meetings.

• Innovation & Optimization:

  Develop proactive alternative designs to enhance form, function, shelf appearance, sustainability, and production efficiency while reducing costs.

• Effective Communication:

  Effectively communicate with all relevant stakeholders related to product development and deployment.

• Project Coordination & Multitasking:

  Efficiently manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion while balancing priorities across brands, customers, sales teams, and vendors.

• Leadership:

  Function as an effective leader and focal point for design-related details, maintaining clear and proactive communication with relevant stakeholders, and provide necessary technical guidance.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• A minimum Ten years of experience in Designing & Developing Structural Packaging products.
• 5 years of experience in leading a team of Structural Packaging developers.
• 5 years of experience in online printing/proofing.
• Bachelors degree in design or engineering in related field.
• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, is essential.
• High level of computer literacy and MS Office.
• Familiarity with integrated ERP systems; experience with SAP is preferred.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Navi Mumbai.
